JayJay Blakesberg is one of the world's top rock and roll photographers. His work appears in numerous national and international publications including Rolling Stone, Guitar Player, Guitar World, Time, Newsweek, Entertainment Weekly, and MOJO. His list of clients includes Virgin, Reprise, Mammoth, EMI, Columbia and Arista Records. His first book of photographs, Between The Dark and Light - The Grateful Dead Photography of Jay Blakesberg, was published in November 2002 by Backbeat Books.

Making the transition to directing music videos and live concert DVDs, Jay has recently partnered with Ravin' Films and Bob Sarles to produce and direct Phil Lesh & Friends Live at The Warfield, shot at the famed San Francisco theater. The DVD is scheduled for release in the fall of 2006.

Jay has worked with many legendary performers including the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, the Grateful Dead, Carlos Santana, John Lee Hooker, Tom Waits, Jane's Addiction, Counting Crows, Phish, Nirvana, R.E.M., Ani DiFranco, Ben Harper, Tom Petty, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Pearl Jam.
